I think that Phoebe's mother went on a trip somewhere she has want to go to get away from her kids and husband. I also think that Mrs.Winterbottom left because she does not want to do everthing for her kids and be treated like she is nothing and her kids and husband do no even say thank you to her and she needed to get away from her family for a while. ~Christen
I think that Phoebe's mother went away for a while because she was afrad of what is going to happen to her and her family. She just wanted to get away so she think over the letters that the lunitic has been leaving on the proch steps.I have no idea where I think she went but she went somewhere far so she can think things over for a while. -Ash
i think that phoebe's mom left becasue she was trying to keep her family safe. though, i do not know what from, but in the beging of the book, she double checked that she had locked all the locks in the house, and when she did leave, she made phoebe check them all again. but i think that she stayed close to her family. if i were her, and wanted to keep them safe, i would have stayed close to home. but, i could be wrong. she could have gone as far away as sal's mom went, maybe even for the same reason. ☻Ann☻
I think that Phoebe's mother left because she wants to teach her family a lesson and how much they need her. Her kids and husband treat her like she is a maid not there mother. They never say please and thank you and they take her for granted. So she left so she could teach her family a lesson on how much they need her and she shouldn't be taken for granted.
