A Wrinkle in Time Chapters 3 and 4

What do you think Calvin means when he says, "Isn’t this wonderful? I feel as though I were just being born. I’m not alone anymore!"

Also, how does Calvin feel about his family? How does he feel about Meg's family?

  1. I think he means that he can talk with people without being accused of something wrong. I think that Calvin doesn't like his family because no one cares about him in his family. I think he feels accepted by Meg's family because they actually take him in and give him food and shelter.

  2. The connection I had from the text was that the creature that Mrs. Whatsit turned into almost resembled a greek centaur. It actually looks like a pegasus and a centaur.

  3. I think he means that he feels more like a part of the family at megs than at home.
i also believe he likes megs family more from the way he talks about his own mother.
